The Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, Virginia, has been selected as the location for the March 2023 conference. The hotel is located at 300 Army Navy Drive near National Airport. There is a free shuttle bus between the hotel and that airport. Click here to reserve your room in our block.
The first day of the March 2023 conference will begin on Sunday, March 5, at 8 a.m. Invited speakers include Rep. Bobby Scott of Virginia, who is a vocal supporter of registrants, Professor Jill Levenson, David Cole of the ACLU and attorney Nancy Forster. A free lunch will be served to all conference attendees.
The second day of the conference will be held on Monday, March 6, starting at 8 a.m. Capitol Hill will the focus of the second day of the conference starting with a training session regarding how to effectively communicate with legislators and legislative staff. Following the training, a free lunch will be served and then buses will take conference attendees to pre-arranged meetings on Capitol Hill.
“The meetings on Capitol Hill will be team meetings that will include at least one registrant, at least one family member and at least one person who supports registrants and/or their families,” stated ACSOL Executive Director Janice Bellucci. “Each team will be led by a person who has knowledge of Capitol Hill.”
After their meetings on Capitol Hill, buses will return attendees to the hotel.
Following the two-day conference, a vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 7, at the U.S. Supreme Court building in order to educate the Court regarding the significant harm that has flowed from their 2003 decision, Smith v. Doe. In that decision, the Court determined that registration is not punishment and therefore new laws could be passed and applied retroactively that harm the lives of registrants and their families. Buses will take conference attendees to and from the U.S. Supreme Court building.

The cost to pre-order tickets for the conference is $20 which represents a non refundable deposit but will give you a $40 credit towards the final cost of the conference ticket. The total cost of the two-day conference is expected to be $100 or less and there is no cost to participate in the vigil at the U.S. Supreme Court. The per-night cost of a two-bed room at this hotel for conference attendees is $129 plus taxes.

This is amazing. This is the beginning of a new era. We are tired of being treated like disgarded trash because a poor judgement many of us made behind our human sexuality a decade or more ago. Time to come out and stop being abused and pushed around, time to put a stop to all the lies, slandering and misinformation spread about us. Most of us paid a tremendous debt back to society for the error we made, we should be able to rebuild our lives without endless roadblocks, restrictions and stigma.
How do we get the conference rate? Is there a group code or promotional code?
However, the rule requires sex offenders to report temporary lodging information within three business days, not in advance.

However, § 72.6(c)(2) does not prohibit sex offenders from traveling away from their residences for any amount of time. It just requires them to report to the residence jurisdiction within three business days lodging away from their residences for seven or more days.
